Job Description

Responsible for improving the productivity and efficiency of the Company’s employees. Support the department and organization goals such as improving employee retention, engagement and on-boarding new employees.

The manager will work closely with the director, peers, the operations supervisor, and others 

  • Troubleshoot, implement, and present training and development programs for all operations employees.
  • Work with other departments to identify and drive training initiatives.
  • Conduct post-training follow-up to assess efficacy of training and modify as needed.
  • Present effective training programs using a variety of delivery methods, including but not limited to, in-person, telephone, webinar, video and other contemporary methods.
  • Work with Operations Supervisors and Managers to enhance employee capability and effectiveness.
  • Enhance a high-performance workplace culture.


Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and designs training programs and events consistent with company business objectives, strategy, and vision.
  • Continuously evaluate and develop comprehensive and cohesive curricula for employee orientation.
  • Develops and implements train-the-trainer programs as needed per initiative.
  • Develop end-user, instructional job aides.
  • Deliver phone, Web-based and instructor-led training
  • Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, as requested.
  • Provide troubleshooting and issues resolution in addition to escalation management for both internal and external customers.
  • Analyze incoming GDS (Sabre) updates, and determine, in conjunction with Operations Technology their impact to workflow and take appropriate action. 
  • Initiate, assist or facilitate any Central Operations Group initiatives, i.e. SABRE Red apps, mid-office tools, etc.  
  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekends


  • At least 5 years of experience in the listed job duties
  • Previous experience in training development and delivery
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time (less if based in Dallas)
  • Superior presentation, interpersonal skills
  • Project driven and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Meticulous oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent Sabre GDS skills
  • Ability to deliver phone, web-based and in person training
  • Working knowledge of mid-office quality assurance and back office MIS and accounting systems, along with other 3rd party software such as Booking Builder, Sureware (on line profiles), etc.
  • Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing business priorities
  • Must have above average Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Hard skill (technical) and soft skill (customer service) required
  • Effective project management skills 


  • Computer based learning tools experience
  • Training certifications highly desirable
  • Excel knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of POS tolls
  • Knowledge of other travel products – Auto-ticketing, on-line profile management, 3rd party travel software, etc.
  • Familiarity with a support desk function and/or an automated set-up
  • Experience with On-line booking tools a plus
  • Knowledge of implementation processes for SABRE products
  • Working knowledge of SABRE scripts and SABRE Red apps
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively developing action plans and implementing goals and objectives
  • Good follow-through on goals, plans, and projects.

  • Develop recurrent training syllabus based on daily questions and new company or industry initiatives.
  • Initiate, assist or facilitate any COG initiatives, i.e. Booking Builder rollout, SABRE profile migration, nSRW migration.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on special projects as required
