This role is responsible for providing travel arrangement services for various clients, often luxury and complex group and/or international travelers. Other responsibilities include planning and selling travel by determining destination, modes of transportation, travel dates, costs, and accommodations, while focusing on driving sales towards preferred vendors. This position is open to telecommuting for the right candidate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Secure new client sales and retention through exceptional customer service by building relationships with clients and getting referrals for future business through various methods, such as special events, networking, marketing, etc. •Respond timely to clients’ questions, concerns and billing inquiries; research and solve questions and issues; research and resolve client issues. •Utilize strong consultative selling techniques and the ability to listen to customer’s needs to close sales and cross-sell additional products and services while driving sales towards Adelman preferred vendors and suppliers. •Provide assistance and guidance to clients with reservations, transfers, changes, cancellations, etc. by conversing with the customer to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required; provide client with the best available travel deals. •Ensure all reservations are reviewed with the traveler and thoroughly documented prior to invoicing; collect maintain client payment and balances due for transportation and accommodations from customer; invoice reservations according to company policy. •Build, maintain, and update client profile including marketing preferences with CRM. •Impart international travel information to travelers, such as passport, visa, an inoculation requirements, customs regulations, and currency exchange rates. •Maintain appropriate and positive client relationships with internal/external customers and vendors; build trust in other by exhibiting professionalism and confidentiality; represent the organization professionally and positively when attending various industry events. •Stay current with industry events and changes utilizing various methods (i.e. traveling to supplier sponsored events, online resources, etc.); share feedback learned with peers. •Communicate and escalate relevant information to appropriate individuals (i.e. managers, co-workers, etc.) in a timely manner and through appropriate channels. - See more at:
