One of the most important features we offer at Hot Travel Jobs is the ‘Job Alerts’ feature for jobseekers. Especially in a troubled economy, this handy little tool can be your closest ally in finding the career of your dreams.
The how of it is rather simple.
After logging in, you’re brought to the ‘my account’ page. Here, you can see the ‘Job Alerts’ button, sticking out like a sore thumb. Once you click on this, you’re brought to the Job Alerts screen. Now, if you’re new here and haven’t created or saved an alert with us, you’ll be prompted to create a new listing. When doing so, note that it asks for you to create a title, something simple like ‘New Jersey Jobs’ or ‘Jobs in My Area’ will generally do, since this alert is for your eyes only.
Next, you can narrow the results the search will pull down to the zip code and mile radius. This means that Joe in New York won’t get jobs in Austin, Texas. Furthermore, you can narrow it to where you only get jobs in a set geographic area, city or state. This level of enhanced customization allows you to target exactly where you want to work, or are already working and looking for new opportunities in.
So, fill out the relevant data and navigate down to the bottom. You’ll see an email option. This allows you to customize how you’ll actually receive the alerts, either in your registered address, in a specified inbox, or saved to your private message box linked to your account. Along with this, you have the option of setting up how often you’ll receive the alerts as well.
